Jakarta ReImagined isn't just about how attractive a space looks. More than that, this competition encouraged the birth of ideas on how public spaces can become inclusive, functional places for the community, while also opening up opportunities for the development of tourism and the creative economy. The Head of the Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Office, Andhika Permata, stated that this initiative aligns with the vision to establish Jakarta as a cultural global city. According to him, optimizing public spaces can also create new attractions in the tourism and ecotourism sectors, while also being a catalyst for the growth of the creative economy.
Showcase & Awarding Night Jakarta ReImagined 2026 is held openly to the public and free of charge at Melting Pop, M Bloc Space , on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The event starts at 09.00 until finished.
In addition to viewing selected installations, visitors can also participate in talks , enjoy various entertainment, and visit creative markets and community booths . The series of activities then concluded with an awards ceremony for the JaRe 2026 winners, a tribute to their creativity in creating innovative public spaces.
